This art piece was accepted into the California Institute of Technology's annual art show, 2018. It was on display for several months.
It is based on principles of Islamic art and design. It utilizes a 4-fold geometry found in the Great Mosque of Kairouan. The pattern is constructed using a combination of circles, squares, and free-hand digital drawing. The pattern represents an ecology of plants, flowers, stars, and geometric shapes co-existing in time.
